This is Verica. Verica had been looking forward to an action packed weekend in Sydney, to see one of her favourite bands the ‘Black Eyed Pea’s live, and visit Madame Tussauds Museum!
In November 2020, Verica commenced her much anticipated journey from Canberra to Sydney by train. Joining Verica on her adventure were her co-resident, Tempe Laing and Able support workers. After a lengthy but exciting train ride of just under five hours, Verica and her companions arrived in Sydney.
The next day, Verica took her first ferry trip from Circular Quay to Parramatta along with her travel companions. She thoroughly enjoyed the scenic trip on the ferry and the opportunity to try something new.
From there, Verica and friends headed to Olympic Park to watch the RNB stars, the Black Eyes Peas in concert! She was so excited and danced the night away to the beats of the Black Eyed Peas with her support workers.
Ready for another day of adventure, Verica headed to Darling Harbour to visit Madame Tussauds wax Museum. She enjoyed having her photo taken with all of the stars, especially the Royals! Verica also bought photos as a souvenir of the wonderful experience.
Once Verica arrived home to Canberra, she couldn’t wait to share her story with family and friends about her wonderful trip to Sydney, where she was able to experience new adventures with friends and staff!
We love to support our clients to experience new adventures and get involved in activities that they enjoy.
