About Able Australia
Established 59 years ago, Able Australia (formerly the Deafblind Association) is a leading, registered and trusted disability services provider. We support children and adults with complex disabilities to live the life they choose.
Able’s broad range of disability services in Australia include: Deafblind Recreation Program, Children’s Respite, Centre of Excellence – Deafblind research, Supported Independent Living, Day Programs, Community Participation and Positive Behaviour Support Services.

Will I receive a receipt for tax-deductible donations?
Yes. Able Australia is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), so for any donation of $2 or more, you’ll receive a receipt to help you claim a tax deduction. For Able:Community, annual receipts are distributed in early July. Your support not only makes a meaningful difference in the lives of people with deafblindness, it may also benefit you at tax time.

You can choose to receive updates through emails, newsletters and stories shared here on the website and on Able’s social media.
