Disability Support Worker

Work Type: Part Time/Casual

Location: Melbourne

We are looking for Disability Support Workers with initiative, self-motivation and confidence, who are resilient and who wish to make a difference in the lives of the people we support. Applicants should have relevant experience and a good understanding of disability or health.

As a team-player, you will liaise with the people we support, their families and carers, and you will use your initiative and self-motivation to contribute to personal plans, demonstrating your person-centred approach to service delivery.

To be successful in this role you will need:

·        A current Australian drivers licence (essential)

·        A willingness and passion to make a difference to the people we support

·        Certificate IV in Disability Work and/or related qualification or disability work experience

·        Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR (within 12 months)

·        Recent certification in medication administration and manual handling is desirable

Deafblind Project Officer

15.2 FTE 12 month contract 
Location: Queensland
 
The Project Officer is responsible for leading the Deafblind Employability Project, an initiative funded by an NDIS ILC economic participation grant. The successful applicant will facilitate the one-year project focusing on increasing individual capacity in people with deafblindness and delivering high quality deafblind awareness training. The applicant will increase deafblind awareness in the local business community and with potential employers. The person will facilitate the development of deafblind people’s professional networks and will possess outstanding communication skills to enhance and form partnerships. The person will work with organisations and deafblind communities in the provision of an ongoing deafblind services program in 12 month contract . This is an opportunity not to be missed, to become an integral part of the growth of Deafblind Services in 12 month contract . Residential Services Lead

Location: Melbourne

Full time 76 hours per fortnight

We are looking for a motivated Residential Services Lead to join our team!

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong ability to lead a diverse team across two homes and develop the service across the supported independent living houses (SIL). This will include leading a team of disability support workers to support, empower and deliver exceptional service to the participants we are supporting within their home. The Residential Services Lead will be expected to spend half their time working alongside disability support workers in two homes to directly support participants with activities of daily living, domestic tasks, goal development, empowerment and active support. The role will also require leadership skills to empower a team of disability support workers to deliver high quality support through developing others. The role is split across two houses and will lead two teams.

The successful applicant must possess empathy, enthusiasm and self-motivation as well as developed interpersonal skills to help build and support a team and to enrich the lives of the people we support in a nurturing environment.

Project Manager, Rostering

Location: Surrey Hills with occasional travel around Melbourne

Reporting to the Director, NDIS Community, the Project Manager, Rostering will be working within a team environment leading a team of Rostering coordinators. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the overall program of works that includes refining a centralised rostering system. The initial term of the contract is 12 months with possibility of extension. The aim of the role is to coordinate the roster of supports and services for our growing staff team, and provide ongoing leadership to the team. The successful person will support the organisation to deliver person-centred, quality and customer focused outcomes.

This position is permanent full time, 76 hours per fortnight, and based out of our Surrey Hills office. It may include work across multiple sites and may require work rostered between the hours of 6am and 8pm, 7 days per week with on call responsibilities. About you:

• Significant demonstrated experience in project management
• Planning and coordinating schedules and rosters
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
• Proficiency with information technology, including proven adaptability to work with new systems
• Strong time management skills including prioritization and an ability to work innovatively to solve complex issues.
• Exceptional leadership, professionalism and credibility are important qualities; to coordinate the project between senior management and multidisciplinary teams including Operations, People and Culture and Quality and Compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and to prepare correspondence and reports in clear and concise language
• Align business rostering and staff management processes with industry best practices
• Develop standard rostering procedures & guidelines
• Ensure efficient staff allocation and use of resource
