On Friday March 17, Able Australia’s Day Service in Camberwell successfully hosted a record-breaking crowd at our St Patricks Day event. Clients from our Day Centres and Able supported homes were invited, along with their families and Able staff.
This all-day event featured many fun activities for our clients to get involved in, such as a potato-on-spoon race, St Paddy’s themed Bingo, Green slime making, St Paddy’s themed worksheets and colouring in sheets, bean bag toss into a home-made pot of gold, and Irish dancing. Irish music was played while attendees gathered for a yummy BBQ lunch. There was an trophy awarded to the winner of the potato-in-spoon race and the winner’s speech was well received and applauded by all.
This event follows a stream of successful events from both Able Day Centres in Melbourne that have regular monthly catch-ups with the aim of increasing social interactions for our participants and team building for our staff.
