We are so pleased and appreciative to acquire a new Able branded Food Services Vehicle! This vehicle represents the purchase of a program specific vehicle, for collecting grocery products from Food Bank and Second Bite Coles Supermarkets, as well as other suppliers including Woolworths and Aldi. These products are then transported to our Food Pantry to be used in our food services program that provides free and low cost grocery products to vulnerable members of the community.

This vehicle also represents the collaboration of numerous individuals who assisted in providing information for the preparation of a Queensland Government Community Benefit Fund Grant in which the vehicle was acquired. Special thanks to Steele Woodstock (West Moreton Community Services Team Leader), John Elwers (Finance Manager) and Tanya Rose (Food Services Coordinator) for your work in achieving this Grant to purchase our new Food Services vehicle, and to everyone else involved! This is firm evidence of the strength and innovation of our Aged and Community Services programs in Queensland.

Below are two lovely photos of our Jimboomba Allocation Officer, Mary-Lyn Reed (in vehicle) and Community Services Team Leader Logan River Valley/South Coast, Victoria Barrett (standing) with our new branded Food Services Vehicle.
