Coronavirus has created an enormous impact on how we manage our day-to-day lives, including how we socialize and celebrate important occasions. However, the upside of this is that it has nurtured a feeling of giving in the community.
To maintain the government-mandated distance required from one another, we have had to ask our clients to remain homebound unless absolutely necessary. We want to make their home not just a safe place, but also a happy place.
With this in mind, we reached out to Lindt Australia to gift us some Easter goodies, and they happily obliged by donating 81 boxes of delicious chocolate to Able Australia.
The chocolates were delivered to our clients in Supported Independent Living homes across Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and ACT. This made it possible for us to make their Easter break special and filled with sweetness.
In Queensland, we are grateful to have over 150 volunteers who support vulnerable people in the community with services such as the Food Pantry and Emergency Relief. Boxes of Lindt chocolate were also delivered to them to share the Easter joy and to thank them for their generous efforts.
We are so grateful to Lindt Australia for their generosity and for helping us to give our clients and staff the Easter celebration that they deserve.
We hope you all had a joyful and safe Easter!
