Our Queensland team have been very busy hosting fun Christmas parties for our clients of our Active Living Program for Seniors (ALPS)!

We’ve hosted Christmas parties in Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset Region over the last month, giving our senior clients the opportunity to come together and socialise over a meal and festive activities. We were very excited to have the Mayor of the Scenic Rim, Greg Christensen attend one of our parties.

Some of our senior clients, Marie, Jo and Wendi took this opportunity to write Christmas cards for our clients who use our Meals on Wheels service, who may not be able to get out in the community this Christmas.

We also held a end of year Christmas lunch for our Tune-Up Tuesdays  senior clients.

Tune-Up Tuesdays is a social program for seniors to aid in the prevention of social isolation. We have also incorporated a gentle exercise session into the program to help with health and fitness.

Every Tuesday, our community drivers pick up our senior clients from their homes and bring them into the Jimboomba office for exercise and morning tea.

Our clients and staff had a ball at the party which was filled with lots of music, food and games!
