It is with great sadness that we pay our respects on the passing of Frank Harris on 6 June 2024. Frank was a dedicated Director on the Board of Able Australia from 2008 to 2015 and had significant impact on the strategic direction and growth of Able.

Frank was also Bail Justice appointed by the Department of Justice, a role that he held for 18 years, as well as being a Justice of the Peace. He had more than 37 years’ experience at an executive level in disability service organisations and was the Patron at Crisis Support Services.

Frank was instrumental in many of Able’s changes such as extending our disability services into the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland, introducing Lifestyle Choices (day service) programs in Hobart and Launceston, as well as growing the number of supported homes and services for our clients with disability across Australia.

Able has been incredibly fortunate to have had Frank as a Board Director. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Frank’s wife Rose, family and friends at this difficult time.
