Clients from our Young Adults Program in Tasmania continue to experience lots of fun day outings and activities.
Recently, Paul, Karen, Jack and Drew and their friends were visited by a festive therapy dog! Dog therapy is specially trained to provide comfort, emotional support and affection which can help with mental health, social skills, physical health and more.

Jack, Karen, Chloe, Josh and their friends also did a course in first aid! The group loved the hands-on experience of learning how to perform some common first aid techniques.

Our Young Adult Program have also been on lots of day trips. One being a trip to Beaconsfield Mine where Colby, Coby, Laura and their friends enjoyed adventuring through the interactive displays at the centre, learning its history and panning for gold.

We also visited Franklin House in Franklin Village! This historic house built in 1838 by former convict brewer and publican, Britton Jones. In 1842 the house became one of the colony’s leading private schools, run by W. K. Hawkes.
We had lots of fun taking a tour of Franklin House and enjoying some tea and scones and cream afterwards.
