On 31 January, Able Australia hosted our first Intergen Connections session in Raceview.

This program is all about seniors spending a couple of hours a morning each week with kindergarten kids, helping them learn and play.

Research shows that this time is of huge benefit to both seniors and children. In the early years, children need to develop and maintain positive and secure attachments with people to help support their emotional and social competence. For seniors, spending time with young children also develops bonds, which help maintain health and wellbeing.

The seniors and children had a fantastic time and we can’t wait to host another session soon!
