This is Leanne. Leanne has recently been looking for paid employment.
For the last four years, Leanne has been enjoying her part-time volunteer work where she is gaining so much valuable experience and skills working in an office environment.
With the support of her Able Australia Support Workers, Leanne has been applying for jobs and developing her skills further. These skills include becoming more confident in making and receiving, using IT such as phone and iPad for video calls and appointments, writing and sending emails, and identifying scam texts and emails.
Leanne was super excited to recently be called up for her first job interview! Leanne was supported to choose appropriate clothes for the interview, practice interview questions, research the company and learn about their products and policies, and travelled across town to the interview. Leanne was very excited to debrief with staff at her home in ACT after the interview!
This experience has encouraged Leanne to continue with her job seeking efforts. Awesome work Leanne!
Below is a photo of Leanne ready for her interview.
