Alex is a talented artist who specialises in tactile artmaking.

“I first got into Creative Arts back in 2010 when I was asked to try out an Art Session with Able Australia. Without the support of Able, I wouldn’t have known about the deafblind community and wouldn’t have taken up Art.” Alex says.

“I love to create different artworks and put myself out there in the mainstream community such as public Art Exhibitions and different Able-related functions. This is a fantastic way to showcase myself despite my deafblindness”.

Alex uses materials such as feathers, bubble wrap, pom poms and various fabrics to create his striking colourful artworks that have been featured in our Able Art exhibitions. His art creates a wonderful tactile experience that can be enjoyed by all, especially those from the deafblind community.

Below are some photos of Alex and his art!
